World War I Weapon Presented To OMTA By Doyle Ramsey Doyle Ramsey
presented the Mobeetie Jail Museum with a Colt 45 automatic pistol his
father carried in World War I in France. He related that his father and others
had been in the trenches 21 days and he was grazed one time by a bullet. He
killed six Germans with the pistol during that skirmish. The weapon was accepted for the museum by OMTA president Joe Van Zandt. (Thank you Doyle for your gift, it will be appreciated and remembered.--Personal message from the webmaster.) |
